Eastender Horse Treks

Reg Kaa is the owner/operator of the horse trekking. Reg and Jacqui have 3 young daughters and they are all mad about their horses.

Reg is New Zealand Maori, born and raised in Rangitukia. Apart from breaking in his horses himself, Reg shoes, breeds and trains them ready to be used for horse trekking. His whanau (family) works with horses for generations and he learnt it all from them.

Reg and Jacqui are both experienced tour guides. They can’t think of anything that they’d rather do than to go horse riding with travellers from all over the world.

Eastender Backpackers

From the 1st of April 2008, Tim and Julie Wright are managing the Backpackers. They have taken over from Rangi and Esther Raroa who, since the millenium, have dedicated their time to create the cosy and comfortable Backpackers as you find it today.
